Block Letters
and Cursive Handwriting School fonts offer the possibility to
create exercises that follow the guidelines of the D'Nealian ®
approach, and current education standards.
With these
school fonts, you can create you own exercises and study books,
with the phrases and curriculum that you consider most appropriate
for learning handwriting. They work within any standard application,
and can be used with such programs as Microsoft Word™, Claris
Works™, and current software.
The
fonts work immediately on your system
These work
within your current applications : word processor, layout program,
publishing software, and so on. They work immediately, like any
other font, as soon as they are installed.
These typefaces
are hinted and kerned, and suited for any kind of printing work.
They have been used by famous European printers to set text,
using typesetting equipment.
The
Cursive Wizard™
Some characters
do not end on the baseline, such as b, o, v, w. They must be
linked differently to the following letters. The fonts come with
a special program, available for current versions of Windows,
as well as Mac OS, which manages this extremely simply, and works
with your own programs as simply as copy/paste.

There is
no practical limit to the size of printed letters.In practice,
the only limit comes from the layout program used with the fonts.
They can be printed very big to create cards, or to post on the
blackboard, for instance.
- Easy key
combinations insure proper connecting characters between letters
that do not end on the baseline (b,o,v,w) and the next. Color is supported by
all these fonts, for personalized layouts and color-coded exercises.
Cursive Wizard™ to link
letters

Most letters do link to each other in a
natural fashion, because they end and start on the baseline.
However, letters b, o, v and w end on top, and have to be linked
in a different way according to the following letter. For instance,
one will not link the same way ba and be.
The letters that exit (end) on the top,
such as 'b, o, v, w', do not connect naturally with the following
letter. So, it is necessary to use a slightly modified character
to obtain what is called a ligature : two connecting letters,
two linked characters. Besides, sometimes, the preceeding letters
does not entirely end on top, but rather in the middle, when
it is followed by an e.

Single user
license
If you are
going to be the only user for these fonts on your own computer,
please select the single user license. However, if you plan to
install the fonts on your school's computer(s), chances are the
fonts will eventually be copied onto other computers, and used
all over the school. Please consider our very affordable site
license, which will enable all your school to share this great
resource. You will help the modest designer of these fonts get
the just reward for months of work, creating these fonts.

the single user license by instant download (no CD) : $39.90,
including TrueType and ATM PostScript Type 1 format.
CD version
: $49.90 + $S&H. Please allow 2-4 weeks. In general, though,
we do our best to ship right away.
OS/2, Unix
and Linux users can install the Windows ATM Package. OS/2 Warp
and recent versions of Linux support Windows TTF fonts. However,
there no Cursive Wizard available for these platforms.
School

Some other
foundries consider that shools are companies like any other,
and tend to impose very high prices for site license. As a consequence,
the very limited budget schools can afford for new teaching material
may not suffice. Instead of over $300, we offer the possibility
to use the fonts for your whole school at $239.95 only (+ S&H).
For that moderate price, you will be allowed to install the fonts
on all the school's computers, as well as teacher's laptops,
and home computers, to prepare their work.
