This typeface has a story, a prehistory should I say. This is
the very first font I made with Fontographer 3, right after purchase.
I was fiddling around, and did not really feel like drawing characters,
but rather, to play. I can't remember exactly how the dinosaur
came to be, but after drawing one, I got caught, and before I
knew it, Barney and his friends had filled up all the character
positions. Soon after, in 1993 I think, I placed it in the CompuServe
forums (at the time, Internet was not yet as popular), and before
I knew it, tens of thousands of people had downloaded it. It
even had enough success to be emulated by other foundries, who
came up with their own dinosaurs !
If you collect dingbats,
this one belongs in your collection, just as it does on almost
every dingbat page on the internet...
